A naughty mind would misunderstand the business objective of a company called Exotic Banana. But there is nothing untoward in the name. It is the food processing brainchild of Apollo Segawa, a food scientist who is turning over millions using the knowledge he gained from postgraduate studies in this discipline at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).

Professor Fred Otieno studied civil engineering at the University of Nairobi (UON) completing his degree with an upper second class honours in 1979. He proceeded to join a consulting firm known as Gordon Melvin and Partners which was then the premier firm of consulting engineers in Kenya.
