Global Citizens, world leaders, policymakers, philanthropists, celebrities and thought leaders will gather next month in the Principality of Monaco for the 3rd annual Global Citizen Forum (GCF) held from 8-9 October 2015. This year, the GCF, a non-profit platform, will call attention to the intensifying refugee crisis in Europe and the urgent need to enact effective solutions. Additionally the Forum will feature discussions on global security, foreign direct investment and the future of global citizenship.

KANSIIME: EAST AFRICA’S QUEEN OF COMEDY COMING TO JOHANNESBURG

Following the success of her Australian Tour, East Africa's queen of comedy Anne Kansiime has been booked to host awards in South Africa.

Beginning in 2007, while still an undergraduate at Makerere University, Kansiime began to participate in drama skits acted by the theatre group Theatre Factory, who played at the Uganda National Theatre in Kampala's central business district. when Theatre Factory disintegrated, she joined Theatre Fun, that replaced it. The group plays every Thursday evenings. The best skits were broadcast on NTV Uganda in the Barbed Wire TV show that later became U-Turn. She partnered with Brian Mulondo as a Taxi interview conductor in the MiniBuzz series and provided comic video dramatizations of topical issues that random passengers discussed.

TREVOR : FROM CAMEO ON ISIDINGO TO NEW HOST OF DAILY SHOW

tnoahSouth African comedian Trevor Noah is replacing comedian and political satirist Jon Stewart as the host of late-night talk and news satire television program The Daily Show, according to the New York Times. Noah debuted on show as a senior international correspondent in December 4, but was seen as a worthy replacement over big names such as Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Jason Jones. Stewart announced in February 2015 that he will be stepping down from the show later this year. He has been the show's host for over fifteen years.

The publication featured the lives of African professional migrants to South Africa and was subsequently renamed "The African Professional or AfricanPro" in 2013. The reason for the use of the word 'Expatriate' was deliberate to provoke the perception that it was the preserve of European migrants.

SASA'S FIRST CEO - CREDENTIALS AND COUNTRYWIDE TOUR

SASACEOThe South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA) appointed Natalie Zimmelman as its first chief executive officer towards the end of 2014.

Having garnered wide-ranging managerial experience with various professional bodies over the past decade gave Zimmelman an edge over a host of well-qualified candidates who applied for the position.

Expressing a vote of confidence in the appointment of its new head, the Council of SASA said: "[Her] appointment and further efforts will usher in a new, exciting and productive period for the profession."
